INSTRUCTOR-YANG FORM TAI CHI

Mr. Khalsa is a teacher of long and short form Yang style Tai Chi. Tai Chi is an ancient system of movement, meditation and breath coordination, which has great health benefits. It works to subtly strengthen the body and at the same time build and circulate the "chi" or life force energy, which is the key to vitality and longevity. It is an ideal training system and exercise regimen for anyone, young or old because it uses slow, graceful movements and builds strength from within. It is also a great cross training tool for those engaged in other active sports such as golf, tennis or swimming. Most importantly, Tai Chi calms the mind as you breathe and move through the form.

Mr. Khalsa is an instructor and has been a practitioner of Yang style Tai Chi for the past 12 years.

INSTRUCTOR/ORIGINATOR- Walking Tall-Gatkenjitsu

Walking Tall-Gatkenjitsu is a unique system of physical conditioning, movement, meditation and martial arts using a walking cane. This art based upon the ancient East Indian weapons system of Gatka, Kenpo Karate, Kali Escrima and Jiu Jitsu. It also combines elements of Yoga and Breath Meditation into a unique form of fitness and self-defense.

The fitness and coordination exercises stretch and stimulate all of the major muscles groups and energy meridians in the body. The use of two sticks simultaneously while training creates ambidextrous coordination and balances both hemispheres of the brain. This training method combines low impact movement with the breath and is a good cardiovascular workout for men and women of all ages and at all levels of fitness.

Walking Tall-Gatkenjitsu also teaches a number of practical, effective, and "street smart" self defense uses of the walking cane. These techniques are effective and easy to learn, enabling the practitioner to walk tall with a confident, self assured and relaxed attitude.
